MAREE TOMKINSON
Changing from showing to dressage in 2002, Maree Tomkinson has won countless awards and championships on her excellent horses. Winning the Garryowen Perpetual Trophy twice, representing Australia with Rodrigo III, member of the Beijing Olympic qualifying squad and competing successfully in Europe in 2007 and 2008, Maree is one of Australia’s most accomplished dressage riders.

Her most famous partnership to date is with her beautiful Diamantina IV, a 10 year old Oldenburg mare by Diamond Hit out of Cosmopolitan, who is by Campari M. Competing at Grand Prix level for the first time in January this year, winning her first outing at Boneo Park Equestrian Park.
Proving this was no fluke, Maree and Diamantina attended the Dressage With Altitude competition in Orange, NSW, taking first place in the mare’s second ever CDI competition and winning the GP Freestyle the very next night. Diamantina IV is certainly a superstar.
The team attended the 3* CDI at SIEC in May 2012 with outstanding results. Riding three horses, Rodrigo III, Debstar LP and Diamantina success came with Rodrigo winning the Grand Prix CDN and taking 5th place in the Intermediate II against a strong field of competitors.
Diamantina IV took centre stage in the Grand Prix CDI winning with over 68%. Saturday night’s Freestyle extravaganza resulted in a very strong 2nd place to Heath Ryan’s stallion, Regardez Moi.
Maree has been a Kelato sponsored rider for many years and attributes much of her horses’ health and well-being to the Kelato products she uses and recommends.

DOUBLE VICTORY FOR KELATO SPONSORED RIDER MAREE TOMKINSON
Congratulations to Kelato Sponsored Rider Maree Tomkinson on her winning performances at the 2011 Sydney CDI 3* held at Sydney International Equestrian Centre, Horsley Park 27-30 April.
Defending Sydney CDI champions, Maree and her beautiful mare Diamantina, a 9 year old Oldenburg by Diamond Hit out of Cosmopolitan, who is by Campari M, convincingly won the Zilco Intermediate Freestyle on 70.80% ahead of Rozzie Ryan and GV Bullwinkle (67.750%) and Rebecca Walshe on Xl Overtime (66.400%).
This was the second win for Maree and Diamantina at this year’s prestigious event, having already won the Intermediate I with a score of 69.211% (well ahead of Victoria Welch and BJ Kaneot Casablanca who finished second on 65.921%). Maree and Diamantina also finished 3rd out of a field of 30 in the closely contested International Prix St Georges.
“The Hidden Valley team had a great CDI. We feel incredibly fortunate to have such an amazing horse like Diamantina. She has been virtually unbeatable this season with wins at the Nationals, Equitana, Dressage Festival, Boneo Park, DWTS and now the Sydney CDI. Hopefully she will be back at the next group of competitions even better in Grand Prix. We have been using the Kelato products on our horses for over 10 years now. They are simply the best around. They keep our horses looking their best and performing at the highest level from young horses to GP,” said Maree.
In the 6 year Old Young Horse event, Maree and Debstar LP (a 6 year old imported Oldenburg mare by Dimaggio out of Elfenspiel who is by Rohdiamant) finished 5th in the 1st Qualifying Round and moved into 4th place overall after the 2nd Qualifying Round.
In the International Prix St George Derby, Maree and the 12 year old mare ‘Savoire’ finished a close 3rd (62.842%), with less than 1% separating the top three place getters.
With the German Hannoverian stallion, Rodrigo III, known affectionately as ‘Ringo’, Maree finished 10th in the Grand Prix Freestyle, 12th in the Grand Prix Special and 13th in the Grand Prix.
