Brenden Scoffell

BRENDEN SCOFFELL

Brenden Scoffel is Kelato's newest sponsored rider. His family has bred, trained and shown horses for the past 50 years and he has been part of the fourth generation of riders in his family since age two.

Brenden is 16 years old and has successfully trained and competed on show horses at a Royal and State level. His last horse "Yarradene Royal Portrait" won runner up Queensland Galloway of the Year in 2009 when he was just 13 years old.

He has since changed disciplines from show horses to polo (briefly riding under Jim McGinley, past Australian Polo Captain) and into dressage. Brenden is currently training under Ulrich Klatte (past German Olympian rider), Tor Van Den Berge (current elite Grand Prix rider) and also Garry Lung. Brenden has worked with Tor for the past 2 years and during this time has been part of team Van Den Berge.

Brenden and his current horse, "Rosita" are currently training Elementary - Medium level and look forward to making the Queensland EFA Junior State team this season. To date he has won Reserve Champion Elementary Rider at every outing. The pair are also representing Brenden's school in the EFA Inter-School Dressage Competition.

Brenden also has a three year old, family bred filly "Tweed Valley Just Magic" who is working towards making her debut in both the show and dressage rings in August with the hope of qualifying for the "Dressage with the Stars" event in Victoria next year. Brenden broke her in last Christmas with help and guidance from Tor.

Kelato Animal Health is excited to be sponsoring this promising young rider and we look forward to supporting his future career.
