Nash had never had a problem with laminitis before but one morning I found him unable to stand due to the pain, a lot of heat in his hooves and a very strong digital pulse. He was so bad that our vet thought we may have to put him down. I rang a trusted expert to see if they knew of anything that might help and they told me they had been working on a new product and the first trial batch had just arrived. It was PROTEKMD™ and it saved Nash’s life. Within a week, Nash was up and walking again with light lunging, no bute, and hardly a sign of discomfort. Earlier this year, my 11-year-old Arabian Riding Pony, Cyril, was diagnosed with Cushing’s disease after I noticed several changes that were out of character for him.
Our vet started him on a necessary treatment but almost overnight, my happy, beautiful pony became a depressed shadow of himself, standing quietly in the corner, head down and no interest in food or his surroundings.
For nearly two weeks, he managed only two biscuits of hay and the occasional mouthful of feed. His feed was high-quality, carefully weighed and specifically tailored to his needs, but he was barely eating or drinking. I became increasingly worried about ulcers, colic, malnutrition and what the future might hold.

The first few weeks still had their ups and downs, but gradually, the days of throwing away untouched feeds became fewer. Most importantly, the sparkle slowly returned to his eyes, and I began to see my happy pony coming back.
Now, six months later, Cyril is happy, healthy and successfully managed. I am incredibly grateful for the support and products we received.
