Kim Leibowitz

Kim has been riding since almost before she could properly walk. She successfully competed at Children and Junior Level in South Africa from showing, show jumping, dressage, equitation and finally found her passion in Eventing before immigrating with her family to Australia as a young teenager.

As soon as Kim started to work, she saved up money to get back into horses in Australia and finally purchased her first horse in 2005 – she worked 3 jobs to keep him agisted in Sydney!

In 2007, she and her parents decided to move to the Southern Highlands and found a wonderful property in Bundanoon where they set up a successful agistment and training facility for all disciplines: Shibumi Equestrian Centre.

Kim has successfully competed in Eventing up to 3* level and has a lovely string of horses coming through the levels. Her passion is definitely the correct training of them – from as young as possible to as far as they are capable.

Having coached for the past 20 years, Kim is now a Level 2 General and Eventing coach and loves to share her knowledge with her pupils who are of all ages, disciplines and levels.

She is very excited about what the future holds for her coaching and competition future.
